Update on Status of The Ascent

This has been a great oppotrunity to start a drum corps from virtually scratch, but The Ascent will not be continuing persuit of a competative drum corps experience for the 2012 summer tour season.

There have been a large number of students that have shown interest in this project, but not enough have been able to fully commit to our rehearsals, the camp and to the corps. We greatly appreciate the students that did attend and take a leap of faith in our staff and what we have been putting together, but realistically, we cannot sustain the group with such small numbers.

We will be modifying our approach to the drum corps activity and very much will continue to put a product together that all can be proud to be a part of.
